Site Info

Once again DTW saw substantial growth in 2007 and for that I offer sincere thanks to everyone who stopped by, subscribed to the feed, or linked to the site. For the year the site had 326,595 unique visitors and 613,209 page views according to stat counter. Those numbers were 217,986 and 449,751 last year. The biggest days in terms of visits were the 3 days around the Willis/Cabrera trade. Those days surpassed the other highest volume day which was in the aftermath of the Virginia Tech tragedy.

In terms of posting volume, there were 727 posts this year (728 including this one). And you the reader contributed 18,718 comments. The most commented on post was the 3:30 in the morning game with 440 comments. There are more stats available for your perusal here (I like stats, what can I say?)

Once again, thanks to everyone for another great year!

  1. Thanks Billfer, for all the work in keeping the site up to date with news and analysis to rival any other blog.

    Here’s looking to a great (and playoff-bound) 2008!

    MiC

  2. Reading “the nail in the coffin” again just cracked me up. The ups and downs and the pure torture in that game with Cleveland. Looks like Ilitch wants a winner in the playoffs again. My wish for the new year is that the Tiger players stay healthy!!!

  3. Wow that was a great year recap, I just relived the whole season in about a minute.

Now does this post count towards next year?! hahahaha, I was hoping to be in the top 50, and I was #51. Something to shoot for next year. I’ll also have to get my posts up over 100, I’ll never reach the ‘Kathy’ level! Ok now that my goals are set for next season, lets get to spring training already!

Happy New Year – Year of the Tiger!!! (according to me)

  4. I was #27 this year in number of posts? I had no idea I posted as much as I do.

Might as well have one more for the year…..here is to a less-injury filled 2008 for our boys.

  5. Congrats on another great year for the DTW, Bill! The Tigers blogoshpere as a whole kicked ass in 2007. It going to be an even better 2008!

  6. Those numbers are great, Billfer, and congratulations on all your work paying off in such an impressive way. However, as a fellow blogger the number that stands out to me is the number of posts.

728 posts is really getting after it. Well done.

  7. It says I’m #26, but I believe I have to share this honor with another Andrew, because I don’t think I posted that many times (though I did post a good amount). I think there were some threads in which there were two Andrew’s, myself and another guy, commenting. Guess I need to come up with a more unique way to identify myself. Go Tigs in 2008!!

  8. My compliments to you again, Bilfer! Yours is one of the best blogs of this type, particularly in terms of readibility, breadth and well-rounded commentary.
    All the best in 2008!

  9. I want to thank Mr. Brandon Inge for inspiring so many of my keystrokes and my wife for her “don’t bang the keys so hard” support.

  10. Now Clemens says he was injected with Lydocaine and B-12. What a buffoon. Take away his awards and put him in the same boat as Bonds. Unbelievable what sports in general has become.
