  1. June 10-12. Sox or Cubs?

  2. White Sox

  3. With all those home games immediately after the all-star break it will be hard for them to tank for the third year in a row…..won’t it? (still a little mad about the 2nd half performance this year)

  4. Why do they play March 31st at home, and then April 2nd, but not April 1st (against the same team)? Am I reading that wrong, I thought home opener was April 4th. I already took that day off work :)

  5. Apr 1 is an alternate opening day in case there’s a blizzard on March 31.

Remember this year they played April 2 which was reasonable, then the 4th was ridiculous, snowing, and the 5th was called off (the postponed Toronto game that was played last Monday).

I’ve got my blanket all ready in the trunk of my car!!

  6. Billfer you forgot we play Oakland at home 2x also including the Angels.

9games home and road against each Central team.

3-4 games home and road against each East team. This year the 4 gamers look to be NY, Balt and TB

b/c there are only 4 West teams you play an extra series against two at home and an extrat 2 on the road.

Also the home portion of the last month looks to be not too bad.

Also a reminder to everyone out there, the Twins look to have a rotation of

    1) Santana
    2) Liriano
    3) Garza
    4) Baker
    5) Silva/Bonser/Slowey

Also to all of you esp. going to the games, don’t give up just yet, there are still 9 games and if you’ve ever studied baseball history you know improbable comebacks are not uncommon.

Hopefully this off-day will be just the thing we need to get out of the Blake funk.

And hopefully the Yanks have problems with Halladay, Burnett, McGowan, Marcum, Hammel and Kazmir.

or the Sox/Indians completely fall apart, although the former is much more likely.

  7. [...] The Detroit Tiger Weblog ยป Tigers 2008 Home Schedule I’ve been adding to the home schedule as other teams announce their schedules. By my count I’m missing 8 series at this point. The Indians, Yankees, Orioles, A’s, and Angels haven’t announced yet. [...]

  8. March 31st? Ouch.

There should be a rule. “No games in Detroit before April 15th”. Or at least the 10th. Seriously, how hard is it to go to a domed stadium, or Tampa Bay, or Texas, or … SOMEWHERE warmer for a couple weeks?

@tiff: they nearly always schedule a day off after Opening day. As cib says, a blizzard is a high probability that early in the year.
