The official scorer gave the first inning error to Marcus Thames so Placido Polanco’s streak of now 148 games without an error remains intact.

The Yankees announcers made a big deal about this on the telecast of Saturday’s game. Saying it was a tainted streak. What a bunch of whiners.

The Yankee fans have some nerve to complain about tainted streaks…. Joe Dimagio’s 56 game hitting streak was more tainted than Giambi’s urine sample. Droped balls, wicket shots, throws into the stands were all counted as “hits” during his hitting streak… Yet another reason to hate the Yankees.

the only thing tainted would be if they had failed to correct the scoring IAW the rules.
