		<description>This is one case where the cliche &quot;baseball&#039;s a business&quot; does not apply. Monroe wasn&#039;t cut for financial reasons; he was cut because of his play on the field. He sucked. All year long. 

If the Tigers had been doing better overall they could have carried him; but some changes needed to be made, and Monroe had painted the bullseye on his own chest.</description>
