David Wells has had these before. If he makes 12 starts he makes another 1.25 and every 5 starts after that he makes another 1.25. If he makes 32 starts, he makes 8.75m, more than this year. There's no guarantee he can be a league average pitcher after essentially an entire year off. Then again, I don't think Jair Jurrjens is ready to be a full time starter out of the gate next year.
