I’m not sure I trust that guy’s evaluations of pitching mechanics. He has Jarrod Parker ranked second based on his “whippy” arm. A “whippy” arm is great for stuff, but it is also reminiscent of what got Wood and Prior and many others into trouble — the pitching elbow goes behind and above the shoulders. That creates a heck of a lot of torque on the shoulder and elbow. The rest of Parker’s motion looks great (especially his hip turn — you can really see the power being generated from the lower body).
