I’ve always thought Polanco has had a really weirdly shaped head, but I never even considered once that it was due to any kind of performance enhancing drugs. Like Bilfer said, he doesn’t really have the playing style that would benefit greatly from steroids. His ability to make contact and play sound defense relies more on instincts than anything. He’s passing the tests, unlike Neifi Perez, so I’m not worried about it at all. You would think he is smarter than that.

I actually hate where this is headed because we have no way of knowing, except of course for the MLB testing which nothing has been announced (he could have tested positive once and it wouldn’t be announced). Plus nobody can prove their position one way or the other.

And comparing him to Alex Sanchez, who’s entire game involves running fast isn’t really a great comparison.

I’m nipping this in the bud.

Oh, and before I get labeled as crazy for thinking a middle infielder who isn’t noticeably bigger is on the roids, consider that no one would’ve pegged Alex Sanchez as on the juice, either.

2 things from me: 1) I started to think about the Yanks and whatnot, and is it bad that I kind of hope we win the wildcard so we don't have to face them in the postseason? Honestly, not sure if the 06 division series can be replicated. 2) What's going on with Polanco's head. I saw pictures of him in Philly and his head wasn't that abnormal. It's ballooning out above the temples. I can't be the only one to notice this. Look at his head here compared to his head here. Call me a skeptic in this new age of baseball but his numbers have spiked since arriving in Detroit. He'd never posted an OPS+ higher then 119 and now he's on pace for two seasons of 127 in the last three years and he'd never hit .330 in a season and is about to twice in the last three years.

let’s don’t get ahead of ourself here. first we gotta finish off the A’s. and both teams have expended a lot on this series. it’ll be an ugly game tw nite

anyway you slice the cake to suppress a power house offense like so many teams have — including the A’s — you gotta have MLB pitching. without an MLB pitcher on the mound ya gonna get pounded. and beleive me our Tigers have done that in a lot of games.

But that is all good cuz we love to dish out a pounding for whoever we are playing

what worries me now is what kind of shape Kenny is in. we need him, obviously. like tw nite.

I think Jim is on the BullPen problem and I think he’s gonna get it under control. Ya notice he’s swaped a few slots and given some of the guys a chance . Buzzard will likely get another chance to throw; I ain’t sure about Burdock, that was the 2d time they tried him this year. I bet we see Lopez get another chance too- maybe we gonna need him tw

The one thing that conserns me about this upcoming series against Cleveland is the starters for both teams. The Indians have ace #1 C.C. Sabathia against the struggleing Bonderman, and then they have their ace #2 Carmona vs. TBD (likely Vasquez called up from Toledo). If the Tigers do somehow avoid a sweep in this 2 game series, I’ll concider it a very positive outcome.
