Yesterday Joel Zumaya announced that he may not be back until September. I’m actually not too worried about this. First, nobody really knows what Zumaya will be like coming back anyways, so his return date has been kind of nebulous all along. Second, there is no new medical information. This is just Zumaya stating that he doesn’t want to rush it. He still has an appointment with the doctor who performed the operation tomorrow - a week earlier than scheduled.

As for Brandon Inge it appears that his toe injury is causing his back spasms. A plate inserted in this shoe to protect the toe results in an extra inch or two throwing him out of alignment.
