Tigers Minor League Wrap – 7/6/07

Louisville 1 Toledo 2
Jordan Tata pitched 7 innings of 3 hit ball. No runs crossed the plate and he walked just 2 while fanning 4. Eulogio De La Cruz pitched one inning allowing a hit and a walk. Brent Clevlen rejoined the team and walked twice. Kevin Hooper had the only multi hit game and Jack Hannahan hit his 10th homer.

Erie 2 Reading 4
This was the resumption of a suspended game. Steve Torrealba had 2 hits including his 6th homer. Andrew Kown started and allowed 3 runs over 4 innings and Anthony Tomey finished allowing 1 run in 4 innings.

Erie 1 Reading 2
Matt Joyce homered, one of only 5 hits for the Seawolves. Dallas Trahern pitched a complete game (6 innings) allowing only 2 hits and 3 walks against 4 K’s.

Lakeland – PPD

Fort Wayne 2 West Michigan 10
Joe Tucker and James Skelton each had a hit and 2 walks. Santo De Leon had 3 hits and 4 RBI. Gorkys Hernandez went 2 for 5 and Deik Scram had 3 walks. Duane Below allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 6 shut out innings.

Lowell 3 Oneonta 11
It seems every Oneonta game I begin with the feats of Kody Kaiser. Tonight is no different with 2 homers and a double. Casper Wells had 2 doubles and a homer. Justin Henry had 2 hits and 3 walks. Heck, pretty much every body raked in this game.

GCL Tigers 4 GCL Indians 7 (completed after 7 due to rain)
Carlos Ramirez had 2 hits and Luis Arlet went 1 for 3. Dario Carvajal allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings.

Minors News

Cameron Maybin will be on the shelf for 2 weeks due to a shoulder injury sustained while trying to make a diving catch. He’s had an MRI and the injury is deemed not serious but it will keep him out of the futures game.
