Well, maybe that USA Today article has lit a fire under the offense. Or maybe it was that Seattle's starters sans Bedard and Felix suck. Either way, I'll take a 3 game whomping.

I was at the Saturday and Sunday games too!
Sunday was my first time ever seeing the Tigers win live (going back approx 20 games to 1988)!
billfer, I have pictures I can send along in a couple days too, if you want.

Next year all us PNW DTWers should have a meetup...

Heres something new I noticed at Safeco this year, when the Putz comes in they play Thunderstruck, thats fine, gets the crowd fired up, I can live with that. But then between PITCHES they play it too! I have never seen that before and didn't like it. Anyone know of that happening elsewhere?

Note: when Marcus got his hit off him, everyone was quiet, but I felt compelled to yell out my own version, na na na na na na naaaa na TIGER STRUCK! but it was all for naught.

Billfer is too good to us all. Facilitates our habit, like the enabler that he is :)

Ben: Yeah, it was like 10 feet from us max. It's funny, because during thursday nite's game (which I was watching at home on Fox Sports NW), a ball went right into our seats and I turned to Mrs. Bix and said "You better look alive at the game, those are our seats". She gave me the "yeah, whatever, Wishful Thinker" look...then BAM! Her tiger's basically in her lap on Saturday :)

Keith: Couldn't agree more. He's just a genuinely nice guy, who recognizes that he's getting to play a game he loves as a job. Seems very humble, and while several guys came over to chat and sign for kids, Grandy stuck around (with that silly glove on his head the whole time...) for at least 10-15 minutes signing until every kid got their time.

Bryan/Keith: We did a "man-weekend" to SoCal a couple years ago (the year Petco opened) and caught a SD/LA game. You want electricity? When the "Hell's Bells" starts to go BONG...BONG...BONG and the door opens for Hoffman, it's the most incredible thing I've ever seen in sports. I get chills just thinking about it. The place goes absolutely freaking INSANE.

This is why this is my spot for all things Tigers related. Great work Seattle guys!

And Billfer, thanks as always for being so inclusive. We're lucky to have your website.

Man, saw Zumaya up close but didn't have anything beside the lousy mariner's t shirt they gave to everyone for him to sign. Probably something I should keep in mind for next game with this one being my first and all

And Bix -- As much as I want Polly to be "My Tiger," or that switch-hitting SS with power from both sides of the plate for that matter, Granderson makes me feel like a kid again. Every ball he chases down and every triple that he absolutely legs out because he plays the game like it is supposed to be played, makes it impossible for me to not make Grandy my Tiger. If it weren't for CG, my interest level in this game might be half of what it was when I was 12.

Bryan -- Last year it was even more electric than when Putz enters now. Well at least from my TV perspective of Safeco compared to the live Comerica perspective of Zumaya racing from the pen in left. I sincerely hope this finger injury hasn't ruined his career and turned him into a stop gap middle reliever.
