Great minds think alike. I think this much ado about nothing, they have opened the door for the DL stint with the talk about he knee. That gives them time to look at a Thames/Raburn LF combo for a few games AND they can send Monroe to Toledo for a few games for rehab without having to worry about sending him through waivers. I doubt he has options left since he has been in the league for quite a while now. His trade value has never been lower, so it doesn't make sense to deal him at this point.
