  1. I hope Mike keeps up with his blog, and wish he’d started it earlier.
His comments show a side of him I wasn’t aware of. His comments seem very genuine and heart felt. We as fans forget that as we go about our days, there are real people, families and emotions behind every Jersey. This game is their lives not just a diversion.

My hopes and prayers for Mike and his family are that he goes on to have a fruitful career and that he enjoys playing in S.L as much as he did in Detroit. After enduring the tough years you hate to seee him leave whe the team is on top, but after all it is a business.

Go Mike You’ll always be a part of the Tiger Family.

  2. That thing about Porcello was great. The future looks bright…but High School Pitching Phenoms scare me.

It was sad to Maroth go….but it appears to be the right move. I think St Louis is a perfect fit for him, and hopefully he can perform better against those NL lineups.

I was at the Friday and Saturday Games in Hotlanta….good times….SO many Tigers fans there…it was awesome. I see why they call it HOTlanta….it was not cold.

  3. Hi all, this is Carlos Gomez. I’m the author of the articles at The Hardball Times. I’m glad you enjoyed the review of Porcello as much as I enjoyed writing it.

BTW, I’m also a lifelong Tigers fan who used to emulate Fielder, Mickey Tettleton, and my ultimate fav, Rob Deer.

I was also happy to attend the Tigers/Braves ( I currently live in Atlanta) game on Saturday and it was great to see my team live and Verlander just plain dealing.

Any and all questions and comments are welcome.
    Sincerely, Carlos Gomez aka ChadBradfordWannabe

  4. Well, Mike had a heckuva debut in the NL last night. In addition to just plain baffling the Mets he had a base hit, stole a base, and laid down a sacrifice bunt.

I think Mike will do just fine in the National League. Glad to see that. He is an all around good guy and deserves any and all success he garners.
