Tigers set minor league rosters for 2007

I believe all the rosters are set, but I don’t have them yet for Lakeland and West Michigan. Also, Steve Torrealba is listed on both the Mud Hens and Erie rosters that came out today. I’ll update as more info becomes available.

  1. OK, so Andrew Miller is going to Lakeland? This may be a quick ascension to the Majors.

  2. Yes the same Andres Torres! How old is he now like 50? He was like a good prospect like 8 years ago. Wow.

  3. Ardoin and Kown were both supposed to be moved to the bullpen last year, but injuries and such forced them into the rotation. The pen has been both these guy’s future since they were drafted. Bonine and Connolly are simply filling space until Miller and other better prospects are ready for Erie.

Toledo’s at 9 pitchers right now, the other three will almost certainly be Zach Miner, Jordan Tata, and Preston Larrison.

  4. Here’s desperately hoping someone is still reading these comments.

Does anyone know where Christopher Carlson is playing this year?

  5. Carlson is in EST working on some stuff. I am not sure where he will end up after that.

  6. Any way of finding out who is on the extended spring training roster? I’m eager to know who is there from the Dominican and Venezuelan Summer Leagues, who survived from last season (i.e., which players who didn’t make the current minor league rosters are still around and which ones are goners), and additionally, who is rehabbing from injury or surgery (for example, where are Ramon Garcia, Erik Averill, Matt O’Brien, Brendan Wise and others?)

  7. Ramon Garcia is rehabbing from shoulder surgery which he had last year. I think he’s on track to be ready for games in June.

Erik Averill, I just read, had Tommy John surgery, so he will be out for the season.

Matt O’Brien and Brendan Wise are staying in EST and I hear the plan is to keep them there until the Oneonta season starts.

Chris Carlson and Jordan Newton are also in EST, but they’re expected to be placed on a full-season roster sometime, probably in late May or June.

  8. There are a few guys I know for sure are there from the Dominican and Venezuela, and there could certainly be more. I’ve seen Luis Marte, Santo Mieses, Wilton Garcia, Kelvin Cedano, and Joaquin Guzman from the Dominican, and Brayan Villareal from Venezuela.

If you want the whole roster I could e-mail it to you.

  9. i´m a friend of the pitcher kelvin cedano.. he is a new guy and this is the first time in united states. so i will like to know if some one has any information that you can share with me, if you know something about Cedano.. please e’mail me at rsoto26@yahoo.com

    thanks….
