  1. I listened to the Erie game and it was a turd of a game. Kirkland had three errors, two on one play that probably would have been a double play had he not flubbed it. Torrealba was awful behind the plate, making two errors and launching a throw into center that could have been a third if Thomas wouldn’t have backed it up. It also sounded like he wasn’t helping Eulogio out a lot when de la Cruz was being credited with four wild pitches.

But hey, the rest of the org had a great night so I won’t complain too much. I just wish I would have chosen to listen to the Caps instead.

  2. Maybin was 0-11 to start the year in High-A Lakeland and now he’s got 4 HR, 7 RBI, a .282 avg and a 1.032 OPS. For being 19 years old, I’ll take that.

    Also, Andrew Miller looking good in Lakeland: Andrew Miller is 1-1, 1.93 ERA, 3 GS, 2 CG, 1 SHO, 18.2 IP, 13 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 HR allowed, 11 K, 3 BB, 0.86 WHIP.

Upon further inspection, that IP total is too low for 2 CG’s. His game log says he’s had 2 games of 5, and 5.2 IP. Was one a rain shortened game?

  3. Yes, he pitched a complete game in a rain shortened game that was called after five. His other one was eight innings because the FTs were trailing on the road.
