Zach has gotten roughed up quite a bit in two starts for the Mud Hens. 14 Earned Runs for 10 innings pitched.

So far Leyland says he's sticking with Durbin. I guess we'll have to wait and see how long he sticks with it.

Zach Miner is the name that I'd like to know more about. After two starts, it appears that Chad Durbin is not a MLB quality starting pitcher, and with Ledezma, Miner and Miller out there, I would hate to see the Tigers let Durbin take the ball against the White Sox on April 20th, his next scheduled start.

What's the word out there on Zach Miner, and when either Miner or Ledezma will take the 5th spot.

I'm with you, I'd like to see Ledezma get the ball if there were to be a change in the rotation. I also believe he is the likely candidate as we saw Leyland go to him at the end of '06 when Zach Miner started to decline.

Hey.. i'm glad I found you. It looks like you are going to be a daily stop and I appreciate what you do for fans like myself..

My comment regarding the 5th spot in the rotation is that I do not think it is realistic nor common for somebody that is not in AAA to make the jump. I know there have been examples in the past but that was a time when we had nothing to lose. Nowadays, as a team who is expected to win each and every series we play, I expect the only candidate to be either within the active roster or in Toledo. Personally, I would like Ledezma but I know that would leave us with one LHP in the pen, which is undesirable. We'll see... here's to Mr. Durbin pickin' up the pace.
