		<description>Hey, Lee -- it would be interesting to see whether there is a correlation between CT% and BABIP year to year.  Maybe I should check that out when the new Lahman DB comes out, although I don't know how to adjust that for PFs.  Do either of you guys?

Also, I'm pretty sure batting average correlates less to run scoring than both on base and slugging.  I wonder how CT% correlates to those last two?</description>

		<description>I like the contact % stat because it is a highly repeatable skill.  
It is a better measure of ability to make contact than batting average.  Just eyeballing it, it does not look like it is correlated with scoring runs.  It is correlated with batting average though and batting average is correlated with scoring runs.  I would imagine that contact% is a better predictor of future batting average than batting average.  If so, then it could be pretty useful.</description>
