Verlander's workload last year is a major concern--maybe THE major concern going into this year. Should the Tigers think about finding ways to rest him? Baseball Prospectus suggests the possibility of using him out of the bullpen for the first month of the season. This makes some sense to me. Give Ledezma some starts early and use Verlander for a few innings of long relief here and there.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that it was an either/or with Campusano or Ledezma - but it does read that way. The either/or is more likely Seay/Campusano (and Miner and others).

Why does Ledezma need to be out for Campusano to be in? There is 12 spots in the bullpen plenty of room for both.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Campusano has to stay on the 25 man roster or be offered back to his original team, I think he has a great chance of beating out Ledezma, if anything Ledezma should feel pushed. My only question is can Campusano eat a few innings or is he a one and done guy?
