The Crazy Cubs have too many OFs now with Cliff Floyd signing. They look serious about playing Soriano in CF. It would be nice to snag Matt Murton but I doubt Chi would do that.

Jacque Jones has never been my favorite player but he would make a nifty platoon partner for Thames. Monroe for Jones? Make them give Scott Moore back as part of it.

Tigers sign LHP Joey Eischen to a minor league deal. If he pitches north of Toledo it will mean we are having a lot of trouble in the bullpen. He was respectable in '05, awful last year, blew out his shoulder. He's probably behind Ledezma, Campusano and Seay on the depth chart.
