Make a Tiger Connection

I received a request a couple days ago from a Tiger fan who was moving to San Francisco. He was looking to meet some fellow Tiger fans in the area to enjoy the rest of the season and hopefully the post season.

I know from my hit trackers and commentors that there are people all over the world who read this site (that still is hard for me to comprehend). I figured I’d help him out.

So if you are a displaced Tiger fan and are looking for other in the same region of the country, here is the place to identify yourself. Also, I set up one of them Frappr maps to aid in this.

I hope this will be helpful to you guys, and the benefit for me is that I learn a little bit more about the people visiting the site.

  1. i’ve been a tiger fan since rocky colavito’s days with the tigs…all of them from western canada.

    cheers

  2. I was in Italy until mid-June and this website was fantastic for keeping up with developments over the first couple months of the season.

On a related note, in Venice I actually saw two baseball hats for sale in a store window.. one was a Yankees hat and the other featured the ol’ English D.

Thanks for an ever intersting, ever informative site!

  3. In San Francisco I would suggest:

    Kezar Pub & Restaurant
    770 Stanyan St
    San Francisco, CA 94117

I lived in SF for 4 years until this May. I’ve watch many college football games at Kezar’s and there is always a healthy Michigan (state of- not university of- GO STATE!) contingent in the house.

I also watched the last game of the Pistons beating the LA Lakers there a couple years back and it was wall-to-wall Piston fans. There were even signs taped to the walls of the bar reading “Beat L.A.”
