However, his purpose is to field the baseball, and with injuries to Neifi Perez and Carlos Guillen, I guess the Tigers wanted to fill their dugout with backup infielders. Kind of like the way the Lions were loading up on receivers&#8230; Hopefully Omar Infante keeps getting the starts at second while Perez tries to heal a wrist injury &#8212; I just can&#8217;t stand watching Neifi Perez any longer. Infante has really made a case for himself in the past few games, so perhaps he will win the starting spot outright until Placido Polanco returns. [Detroit Tigers Weblog] [...]</description>
