However, his purpose is to field the baseball, and with injuries to Neifi Perez and Carlos Guillen, I guess the Tigers wanted to fill their dugout with backup infielders. Kind of like the way the Lions were loading up on receivers… Hopefully Omar Infante keeps getting the starts at second while Perez tries to heal a wrist injury — I just can’t stand watching Neifi Perez any longer. Infante has really made a case for himself in the past few games, so perhaps he will win the starting spot outright until Placido Polanco returns.
