Great year Billfer. Lots of good work on the site and great analysis. Looking forward to the new year.

I am disappointed to read the rumors every day and NEVER see the Tigers involved. I guess they are convinced that if they can keep healthy and put that lineup out there every day they will be pretty good. Not a horrible assumption. I'd still like to see them get another starter to push Robertson and/or Maroth.

Happy New Year to all and may 2006 break the unspeakable streak!

Nice post on the year, and I really liked the thoughts on Bonderman. You almost have to think the Tigers have painted themselves into having to sign Bonderman long-term since he has been annointed the second coming of Jack Morris by the current management team, especially if Pena and German continue to make Bonderman look like the only full-time player obtained in the Weaver deal. I actually like the Tigers rotation even with Kenny Rogers as the cancer/ace of the group. Now if only they could get a bullpen together that can help their young pitchers. How long has it been since the Tigers had a 7,8,9 pitching combo you could count on for more than 2 months of a season. I believe it was probably 1987 or even 1984.
